I was a kid in the porn age too bro, and still use computers. I know perfectly well how easy it is to find porn, that’s a straw man. And come on now fam, you’re being sensational. I was doing Sex Ed/bio hw and hardcore porn popped up!! :krs:

Maybe you’d be naive enough to believe that with YOUR kids but as I said anyone who knows how the internet works and is responsible can one turn on Google safe search, and internet filters. We were talking about kids, monitor their usage! No child should even be using the internet like that without parental supervision. If a teenager wants to find porn, he or she will find porn. Just say you think the government will do a better job of raising your kids. If your child finds porn you need to set better boundaries. Be a better parent. Accidents happen and you learn from them and fix the issue if they still see something they shouldn’t. Talk to them about it, they won’t automatically become sexual deviants. The stats back that up, kids see porn all the time and most people grow up just fine. Comparing the internet to being born poor and having your societal conditions raise you is as asinine as saying cable TV and video games is responsible for the rise of violent school shootings. I do not agree with this big brother approach to the situation.

Aren't you in your late 20s or early 30s? :patrice: Your era of internet was not the same as today's.
You keep ignoring my points because you are determined to victim blame/parent blame. I never said anything about being raised by your environment, I mentioned being affected by your environment ... not the same thing.

You can't tell the difference; there's no point in continuing this discussion.

Ok fair enough. But point is, even if the issue is what you say it is, we have a fundamental disagreement on what the best way to approach the issue is. I don’t think this is it

I don't think anybody is pro children watching porn, but you have to ask yourself if governments should have this type of power.

Nobody's forcing you to give you kids smartphones/laptops/PC's

If you're that scared of your kid watching porn, then don't buy a smartphone and force them to use the laptop/PC in a communal space.

Governments are going to abuse this.

Hackers are too.
