NFL.com has released the audio from Dez Bryant’s tirade on the sidelines of the Cowboys’ game on Sunday against the Detroit Lions, and it turns out Bryant was being more positive with his teammates than he looked.

While Bryant was certainly animated on the sidelines, the audio shows he was mostly trying to fire his team up and explain to wide receivers coach Derek Dooley and Tony Romo that he was open. It wasn’t the temper tantrum that many pundits assumed he was throwing.

We’ve transcribed what we could of the sideline interaction, and you can listen along at the NFL website.

BRYANT: No! We can’t let them do that! These [expletive] [unclear.] They’re manning me the [expletive] up. We destroy that!

Hey — we gotta mix that [expletive] up! [Unclear, PA covers up Bryant's comments.]

They press me! [Or maybe "It's fresh meat!"] It’s over! [Unclear]

ROMO: What?

BRYANT: [Unclear] I’m cutting! I’m cutting clean.

I know on that last one, they bust me, it’s over.

[Talks with coach, unclear with stadium noise]

Man, we good on that, Tony. We the best in the NFL on that. We the best in the NFL. And I could…I’m telling you, if you look at it on film…man, if you look at it on film, [unclear] I swear to God out there, [unclear, PA announcer speaking] on the zero, I’m cutting. [Unclear] [expletive] [unclear.]

DOOLEY: Hey, what you gotta do, you gotta set it down.

ROMO: You gotta set it down.

DOOLEY: In other words, don’t look at Tony, because the safety’s coming out of the top.

BRYANT: I see that.

DOOLEY: So when you run… When you run…

ROMO: Look it. Look at me. I’m throwing the ball and you’re already over here.

BRYANT: Yeah.

ROMO: You should be setting down on that.

BRYANT: Yeah.

DOOLEY: Run like this. Don’t look at Tony and then stop, and say “Tony.”

ROMO: I don’t care [unclear] [expletive] like as soon as you’re over the ball you should tell me right now.

DOOLEY: Give it to me.

ROMO: Stop or you’re gone.

BRYANT: OK.

ROMO: [Unclear]

DOOLEY: It looks open, but they’re coming out of the top.

BRYANT: It did. It did. It did.

DOOLEY: I knew what you saw because they doubled Wit.

BRYANT: [Unclear] I hadn’t seen it… [Looks out on field.] Pick that [expletive] up man. C’mon…

We [expletive] good, man. We bust our ass not to win this [expletive] game.

I dont have anything, that was my point. THere are 100 cameras at games now that were not there in the 80s and early 90s.

I do remember Jerry Rice throwing a hissy fit and throwing down his helmet and sulking when his consecutive game with a catch streak ended in Oakland. A game the Raiders won. :mjpls:

Convenient. I'd love to hear Jerry going at Ronnie Lott when he broke into the league.

Still waiting on you to provide evidence of Jerry going at any of the leaders on those 9ers teams when he wasn't regarded as a leader himself. If you're going to clown, at least be accurate.
It's a known truth jerry use to go at Montana and Young when he didn't get the ball. Remember Romanowski say this onJim Romes show years ago. BTW, lets not forget to harass the biggest troll of them all, Greg Doyell, for his trash ass article yesterday.

Convenient? Its all good for Rice to lose his shyt after his consecutive game with a catch streak ends in a game his team won?

We cant use that to surmise that he may have been an asshiole on the sidelines when he was younger, had more hair with that wack jherri curl, and immature?

And I say this to say that I really dont see any of this as a bad thing. You are the one who made yelling on the sidelines a problem.

Ummm...you have no understanding of context do you?

If you say so, but really you're just disrespecting his Family by comparing the media judgment of a football player in an overall meaningless game to the media judgement of a needless death of a child.

If I say so? Stop acting like you're protecting the sanctity of a family I actually met.

There's a rush to judgment on all levels when it comes to black folks. That's the point

I think too many people judged Dez from his body language (swinging his arms and kind of getting into people's personal space). It's nice to hear what he really was saying as opposed to just attempting to read his body language and the reactions of those around him. I'm not saying race doesn't play a factor in people prejudging but I do think it's possible to just misinterpret his body language as something negative. I don't like to make brash judgements to quickly in situations like these, especially during something as intense and emotionally/physically exhausting as trying to win an NFL game. It's understandable for men to get heated and go off, I mean fukk, me and my boys yell at eachother when we fukk up in a game of nba2k :pachaha:

I remember Jerry Rice spazzing to his OC about Garcia, telling him to "throw a fukking spiral. a fukking spiral."

This was after Garrison Hearst SCORED and the 49ers were winning :bryan:

I don't give a fukk if you met the family, football is just a game. No one will care about the "tantrum" next week Why even bring the Zimmerman case up? Call racism, but just leave it at that.

I'm just gonna stop entering in you're threads. Carry on
