I mean....I'm a PC gamer too but it wasn't necessarily about shytting on consoles. I'm an OG gamer since "Pong", I love consoles. I've owned every brand except like, Neo Geo and Turbo Grafix 16.
I'm just saying the standards for copping a console went out the fukking window....let's say N64 for example....it had "Mario 64"....that's a killer app. Even if there was a drought after the initial release, you got a classic, historical game day 1. If we're keeping it all the way real there ain't a reason to cop any of these consoles right now. Sure there's games to play....but some shyt like "Uncharted 4" or whatever should've been day 1. Or shortly thereafter. The same goes for XBOX1 and the Wii-U.

Consoles are way different today than it was back then. A killer app was almost mandatory since there wasn't shyt else to play on the console but games. Nowdays, you got your bread and butter MP games like BF, Madden, COD coming out every year which are heavily online featured so that by itself is a large reason why most cop now. Whatever 'reason" one might have for copping a console is different from the other. Hell, dudes on here were exposed stanning games left and right and when you see their recent activity they're mostly using their console for watching TV and videos.
I'd say your example applies more for the Wii U since it NEEDS classics because of it's paltry 3rd party support.
I also disagree with the "Same goes for Wii-U" part, heavily disagree. Games like Smash Bros, Mario Kart8, Bayonetta 2, DKCF and others are more than reason enough for the Wii U to be copped. It may not to you, but to me it was.
