Not every Cuban is majorly descended from Spanish Slave masters.

There were a few periods of European Immigration into the country. Latin American countries brought millions of white people to whiten the population around the same time the Irish, Italians and Eastern Europeans were coming to America.

Because there is this ignorant assumption among americans (black and white) that disqualifies your whiteness if your native language is Spanish.

The US census bureau invented the term "Hispanic" back in the 70s as a designation for all people from latin american countries as opposed to their specic countries of origin like they used to. As a result Americans just went ahead and applied it to anyone who speaks Spanish regardless of your actual ethnicity whether Spaniard-white or Thaino. They forget that some Mexicans are white. Many customers and are White. Many Argentinians and Brazilians (Portuguese speakers) are... white.
