I was heavy into Murda when he was dropped The Murder Capitol and the mixtapes after that, he was spitting that raw shyt, maybe not the best lyricist in the game, he was grimy enough to hold your attention.

That aggressive/beef/shock raps that 50 popularized in the early 2000's was just about in its latter faze around that time and emo/regular n!gga rap took over. He woulda made more noise if he dropped a few years prior.

I think he realized that a name like Uncle Murder, the labels ain't gonna begin to try and market you. He addressed this on an interview at one point. Still one of my fav underground rappers.

Nah. All his good music is super regional sounding. I don't remember him having any buzz in the South, West, etc. And his music is catered to people who DON'T buy music.
The standout thing about him is his sense of humor. But it's just not enough to hold my attention for more than a song or two.
