Regarding Uncle Phil, I wonder if he eventually got rid of Lou for fukking with Will's emotions. Remember, Lou being around angered him more than it did Vivian (Lou abandoned her sister and nephew, so she should have been more angrier). With Lou being involved in the trucking industry, maybe he soon died in an "accident" after leaving for Maine.
