TO was more complete. Ran better routes and was a viscous blocker. I watched that play recently where Garrison Hearst had that 95 yard game winning touch down run in OT against the Jets and TO was running 90 yards downfield with Hearst and had a key block close to the end zone. Dude never took a second off.
Why did it take damn near 9 pages before this was brought up.
TO’s effort alone puts him over Moss. Not only was he a key blocker, but he always completed his routes. This impacts the way the defense would play opening things up for the other WR’s.
There were plenty of times where Moss jogged his routes in Oakland and defenses didn’t bother keying on him. It was so bad that Moss was considered “washed.” How you think they got him for a 4th round pick?
What also hasn’t been brought up is that Moss was on THREE fukkING TEAMS IN ONE YEAR. And this is post Oakland “I Play when I want to Moss. Y’all don’t remember when he held a press conference and said he’s going to ask himself questions and give the media answers the answers and went on to talk about the Patriots for 10 minutes while wearing a Vikings uniform? I think he even wore like a patriots hat or some shyt. He immediately got traded AGAIN to the Titans.
Meanwhile TO was putting up 1,000 yards 10 TDS in 13 games with Carson Palmer at age 36.
Y’all keep referencing “he didn’t score a TD in the super bowl.” Who gives a fukk
The nikka had 9 catches for 122 yards ON A BROKEN LEG. If McRib doesn’t throw up his chunky soup TO is the MVP.
Listen to any Philly player discuss Owens in the SB and they all said the moment he made his first breakWay tackle and catch it gave the entire team energy that they could win that game.
Also the locker room shyt in Dallas is actually over blown. Patrick Crayton, TO, and Roy Williams approached Romo one day because they noticed he and Witten drawing up their own plays. Crayton actually vocalized Romo including them in whatever they were diagraming and Romo pretty much insinuated this didn’t involve them. This lead TO to try and handle shyt in house by bringing it up with Wade and someone (we now know it was Jason Garrett’s bytch ass) leaked to the media that TO felt they were “freezing him out the offense.” Where TO messed up was weeks before he was critical of Garrett’s offense and stated it was too predictable and was the reason for the declination in his production (funny almost 11 years later cowboys fans were still complaining about Garrett’s offense).
Anyway TO is like Naruto and Moss is like Sasuke. TO not as physically gifted but perfected his craft which is why he was more consistent. Moss naturally gifted and born into having these abilities.
