I cant exactly explain when I started to see the light. But prolly around 20.

Alot of ya got it wrong tho. Life aint about getting good grades, and nabbing good jobs or being what ya mommy or daddy wanted you to be when you were little. T/S especially got it fukked up, you are really not suppose to be comparing yourself to ya peers. Thats a negative outlook on life. Life is a marathon not a race.. Take it slow find your true purpose. Find your passion. Then its all full speed ahead.

If not, you just gonna end up like Gator Reloaded(I kno ya see his threads), with a job you thought you wanted but a overall sense of meaninglessness and no purpose. Which will ultimately lead to depression.

When you really hit Nirvana you realize that the only thing that matters in life starts from within, and reflects out to the world. Positive thinking is the secret to life imo. It aint about fukking better bytches than the next man, or making more money than timmy the engineer from the 9th grade. Life is about doing what truly makes you happy and ignoring the thoughts and opinions of others.

Ya should check out Steve Jobs commencment speech.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1R-jKKp3NA"]Steve Jobs Stanford Commencement Speech 2005 - YouTube[/ame]

I dropped out after the 1st 6 months of college, However I stayed around as a drop in for the next couple of months, before I finally quit. I needed time to found out who I really was and what I was meant to do. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. And no idea how college was gonna help me figure it out. So I decided to drop out and trust it will all turn out okay. It was pretty scary at the time. But looking back. It was one of the best decisions I made. I didnt have a home, so I used to sleep on the floor of my friends room. However the lessons Ive learned from following my curiositys and intuition turned out the be the greatest lessons Ive learned....

"You have to believe the dots will connect in your future. You have to trust in something. You gut, destiny, life, karma, watever. Because believing the dots will connect down the road. Will give you the confidence to follow you heart. Even when it leads you off the well worn path"

Haha but on the real. I was talking about how you were comparing yaself to what your peers are projecting. You dont know how they are living. They may be miserable, they may be happy as fukk. It doesnt matter. All I was saying is when you are doing something that genuinely makes you happy. Things like that dont matter. And nah, mommy and daddy dont know whats best for you. Only you do scrap.

I feel you thats why I wrote "I dont like to speulate on tge, next mans persobal life but I imagine" that man could very well be the most miserable man on earth which is why I feel no jealousy or envy but rather pride and motivation that he took what his parents instilled and executed by his own means to a greater degre than I did despite having comparable talent and thus I can only IMAGINEthat his parents feel the same way though only God knoes.

And yea youre right I can only be content with not only where im headed but who I am as a person at this very moment but I am not content with my situayion because its only su
survival and seeing my peets reminds me tgat I have not onky tge tools but the desire to THRIVE

Word all im saying with the whole life is a marathon concept is. That just cause you see other nikkas infront dont mean you comming in last. You still got the potential to end up on top. Life is about pacing, alot of nikkas waste they glory years trying to be something their not, rather than finding out their true purpose and living a fullfilling life.

nothing breh :to: like I have no idea at all. If I did anything it would be for the money :jawalrus:

I don't think this is a bad strategy at all. I think people should really just follow the money--do whatever you can given your natural aptitude and utilize it to embark on a career path maximizing your income potential. For example, my math skills are too bad to be an engineer or programmer, but they're decent enough for finance, so I went to work for Wall Street. I graduated in December, and I should at least clear 100k my first year out of college.

If you have no passion, just choose whatever job within your ability that makes the most money.

I'm in the same boat as you breh. I like math and I'm ok at it and I was thinking of going to school for accounting. What's your schooling like breh?

I have a B.S. from an Ivy League in Labor and Finance.

I stress the Ivy League part because half the battle in getting a job on Wall Street is personal pedigree. Wall Streeters are prestige whores. An Ivy League institution on your resume adds gravitas; if you have a good school on your resume, people will assume you're smart before you even speak. It's very powerful.

If you want to do well in life, get into a top HBCU or a Top 20 college. You'll have a ton of opportunities available to you when you're looking for internships and full time positions.
