A lot of ig posts, motivational speakers, tumblrheads, and wannabe advice gurus online (:queen:), etc. frequently discuss concepts like "finding yourself" or "finding your purpose" or as @K Da G tried to put us on to earlier today, "unlocking your potential" but they often fail to tell you HOW to do that, like SPECIFICALLY.....like

So, just making a thread to drop some personal gems, with love... if you're looking to find yourself or your purpose you first have to understand yourself and then second must fully accept yourself, AS IS...... But HOW? :jbhmm:

  • Get a second job.
  • Read one article each day from beginning to end on an unfamiliar topic. Consciously observe your own thoughts and reactions to new information. How do you feel?
  • Buy one piece of clothing you have always really really wanted and wear it frequently.
  • Spend 10 minutes each day in prayer and/or peacefully listening to your own thoughts without judgment.
  • Cook and eat as much of your own food as possible.
  • Floss daily. *very important*
  • Be direct with the people closest to you.
  • Accept your inevitable death.
  • Tell as many jokes as possible as often as appropriate :skip:
  • MOVE OUT OF YOUR PARENTS HOUSE
  • Cut off one close friend.....you know which one :usure:
  • If you think something is "corny".....TRY IT
  • Update your resume
  • Reach out to as many former friends and coworkers as possible, I enjoy sending mass "happy friday" texts...:takedat: it's important to keep in touch
  • Spend at least one year single if bunned up, if single, spend one year bunned up
  • Accept personal change takes time and includes failure, do not give up
  • Accept your efforts will not be wasted
  • Accept you are enough
  • Identify your goals, identify your flaws, identify what you enjoy doing, do not judge them as good or bad, view them as facts about the self and nothing more
  • Do not allow anyone else to shape your life experience in a way you do not want. You are the CEO of your own life. Be a good leader.
