I had no idea she was based on a real person... Looked up her name Patty Cannon and the sadistic bytch went on to live a full life with no form of punishment.

I didn't know it was based on a real person. However, according to Wikipedia the real version was already dead long before the show takes place.

So I think they can do whatever they want with the show character of the same name.

The new owners are talking about slashing original programming. They alreay cancelled the Outsiders. Hopefully, Netflix or Hulu or some network picks up the series if it gets canned.
