The sad part about things like this is that people who actually need unemployment insurance will be affected.

I have read stories about innocent people who had their accounts suspended and wiped out because of suspicion of unemployment insurance fraud.

I see an uptick of this type of crime, especially from people who recently lost their jobs.

I was working a temp job that got shut down for a month because of covid. Once the job started back up I figure out that I was struggling the most while everyone else was collecting the $600 federal unemployment. :mjtf:
I call them and find out somebody else is using my social so I cant claim. It's been 2 months since I reported it and I still cant claim. Every time I call unemployment I get a different answer.:unimpressed:

Earlier this year, I lost my job due to the COVID pandemic, and after trying for months to get another job without any success, my wife and I took the decision to try all possible ways to land any job. I also tried my luck abroad, even got my police clearances translated through https://thewordpoint.com/services/certified/police-clearancеs . I have always been interested in working for a tech company. I don't really have any experience in the tech sector, but would really like to get into it. I do have some programming experience, so hope to get a job soon

CBS Los Angeles: ‘An Information Coverup’: New Study Says California’s EDD Fraud Could Top $8B.
New Study Says California's EDD Fraud Could Top $8B

Heard that the FBI and the State isn’t even focusing on fraud below a certain amount at this point in CA, they’re going for the ones clocking at over 15k to save on time and resources. Anything below that, they’re sending out letters demanding repayments. Funny thing is that CA is not the only state where this shyt is rampant..damn near every state has been wrestling with fraud but are undermanned to properly address it.
