forget the comedic intro lol

song always was dope to me

Yeah I dont give a fukk what anybody says, this song is dope. Semi related - The Firm is not a bad album and has a lot of high points. Could it have been better? Sure. Would it have been a better project with Mega still in the mix? Absolutely, but it's not a wack album.

Firm aas unfairly hated on. The inclusion of half a mil gave us the ultra classic throw ya gunz. Canibus on desperado. Phone tap. Firm biz. Loved all these a lot.

Album had like 3/4 weak joints, the rest ranged from legendary (not many) to dope to above average. Coulda been better yes; but for what it was , I enjoyed it.

How'd I know OP was gon pull up Drunk and Hot Girls lmao. I HATED this song, but my patna used to love it, so I would have to play it. It's not too bad, like if it's already playing then I'll let it ride. But if I'm able to catch it, we goin straight from Barry Bonds to Flashing Lights on that ass

this thread is a loophole

alot of yall are posting legitamite classics that random nobodies say is good

everyone loves outkast - stankonia, jayz - sunshine, 2pac - AEOM, Dogg Pound etc

I'm not a fan of Drunk and Hot Girls though... I feel like the world knows Kanye had better unreleased shyt at that time that could have replaced it
a few of those Graduation songs sounded uncontrolled and phoned in.... which isnt completely terrible freedom wise

Wayne and him dropped the ball on Barry Bonds too... that was peak Kanye and Wayne and its not even close to a top 50 song from both artists

"Here's another hit, Barry Bonds" is the definition of phoning it in

Black shampoo idea, lyrics, beat is a complete package as far as music goes. Its very well written and thought out. But the execution… seems ugod couldnt pull it off since everyone seems to dislike it. I enjoy it for whT it is and think it works. Then again i also dig the intro which seems to bother people (obv not wu fans…).

Hello Brooklyn

It’s hated bc 1- their first song together and it was at the peak overlap of jay and Wayne primes so the expectations were thru the roof.

2- it’s the 1 song on AG that wasn’t tied to the album. It was out of place. Always annoyed me that it was sandwiched between 2 more somber tracks American dreamin and No hook.

It seemed like common sense to instead have it next to the more uptempo run of songs that were perfectly orderd: roc boys, sweet, I know.

Instead it goes pray-American dreamin —HELLLOO BROOKYN—No hook. Made no sense whatsoever

But the song itself was fire.
