It would allow individual nations to be able to fight back against wealthier nations. I'm picturing something along the lines of an article 5 in the nato treaty. Because even when you look at it as an apples to apples comparison between the UAE and Sudan, Sudan is slightly less equipped and significantly less funded despite having five times the population.


If Sudan wanted to take this conflict to the source, it would be unable to. But even if you ignore the rest of the continent, the resources of the surrounding nations (who deal with refugees such as Ethiopia Kenya and Uganda) were put together , You would have an insurmountable force which the UAE could not combat. I'd argue that such a force would even have the ability to project power towards the UAE instead of being the battlefield for proxy war.

The AU is useless. Particularly because none of the member nations have any skin in the game. It's funded almost entirely by the West with 54 nations contributing only 30% of the budget.

Do you know that Trump or Macron could wake up tomorrow and pull funding, and the AU would dissolve overnight?


You can't expect an organization which is operated by your historical enemies to benefit you as a black person. It would be like Shapiro and Elon funding the NAACP . There needs to be an indigenous union which the member states actually respect. Because as it stands now they're viewing it as another jobs program and hand out from the West .
