Well, Assad released the psycho johadists from his prisons and let have free reign. The conflict went from an uprising, to moderate rebels to international terrorist havens in an instant which helped him contrast that

In 2012 and after, you could go to Doha, Riyadh, wherever and say you are fighting to overthrow the regime and establish shariah and you would get millions of dollars :russ:
