"War" isn't what it used to be. Now the battle is fought using economics, misinformation, and through corporate espionage.
There's no need to invade a country when you're making big money off of them which China has been doing. The US basically sold off manufacturing to them, and in the process let them see and steal plans for tech which they've created bootleg versions of that are almost as good or in some cases even better.
China means to buy up land in Africa which has rare metals in them. With those metals they will tighten their grip on tech manufacturing and the U.S. will be forced to pay Chinese firms to access these materials if by some ghost of a chance manufacturing comes back to America. And the corporations making money off Chinese consumers ain't finna have hostilities with them. These motherfukkers couldn't contain a virus that has already killed over 2million people and Apple still having iPhone manufacturing there

I kinda agree with op that Chinese people don't have the heart to start and/or finish a war. They don't want to fight. This is the most fighting-ist country on earth. So if it was a 1v1 I agree.

Even if the Chinese military technology catch-up to the US (not happening anytime soon) they still won't be a match, the US have almost 100 years of fighting experience and multiple generations of war fighters. That type of experience is hard to beat.
War is like most other activities: you can train and study all you want but if you don't have that real world experience you'll be outmatched by people who do.

This isn’t 1970s China. Missile technology advancement along with air defence system, America can no way penetrate Chinese airspace.

China can barely win a fight against India. People keep imagining China to be some dominating formidable force the same way we imagined Afghanistan to have a strong army. 300,000 soldiers! Wilted in days. Who has China really gone to war against? If China was really our equal militarily they wouldn’t have been struggling with India, someone we’d dust with ease.

China might and probably isn’t offensively capable as America. But American warplanes, warships and aircraft carriers would be flattened within minutes if they even threaten China, the Chinese people or Chinese airspace. DF-26 would put an end to the American navy myth. This isn’t 1970s China, there are sectors and industries where China is ahead of America. If Yugoslavia could shoot down Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk, Hezbollah shot down Israeli Warship and North Korea could detect SR-71 Blackbird plane in 1981. You best believe and understand the modern China in 2021 could and would end America’s navy if it ever threatened China directly. Americans live in a realm of fantasy while reality and facts indicate a different reality. America is not threatening nor touching China in 2021.
