Lawyers always have these clever ways to make every case a "public interest" one. This case is already generating a lot of buzz, so it could be heard. The Supreme Court cases are not always overturned, sometimes they take cases to confirm the Appeal Court decision is correct if people are having doubts.
also it depends if the guy wants to take it there with lawyer fees and everything and no guarantees, plus his personal business being out in the open. He might just decide to not pursue it. I'm pretty sure the lawyers would want to take it there though cause it would be a career case for them win or lose and it would raise their profile. Lot of things at play.

Nah, no fukking way. Even if I was wealthy to the point where I wouldn't miss that kind of money, it's not happening. That's just insane.
