We did feel a kind of way. We were working on our 2nd album and Jermaine was like, ‘Biggie here. He wanna come to y’all show.’ We were like, ‘Hell nah! No!’ Then he came and Jermaine was like, ‘He wants to talk to y’all. He wants to meet y’all.’ We were like, ‘No!’ But the night that he passed, we were at the party and he asked to talk to me and Kandi. Kandi was like, ‘I’m not going over there. I don’t wanna talk to him.’ So I was just like I’m going to go over there and see what he’s talking about.”

“He just apologized and said that he should’ve never said it and how he was ugly too and how you guys look good now. And that was that. I just told him we weren’t feeling him at all. But I was glad we got to talk before he passed. It was on March 9th, the same night.”

you named pretty much everything.

kandi is weird, she worked for the group, but no way i'd want to hear her solo for an entire album, but realistically none of them had the looks for solo stardom, and rarely does it work.

terry ellis - nope
dawn robinson - nope
t-boz - nope
left eye - nope
slim from 112 - nope (tho his album was dope)
coko - nope
marques houston -nope
omarion - nope

beyonce was the anomaly that happens once a generation - like michael or diana or even gladys
:dahell: To me Marques Houston has had more success as a solo artist than with IMX/Immature, so he doesn't belong on this list.

I also agree with @mson that Omarion doesn't belong on this list either.

I disagree on both, their groups were huge, caused pandemonium, they both had a 2-3 hits early in their solo career and have caught bricks since, except O finally getting another one this year (since it sounds like everything else and has two other hot artists on it). I think y'all feel that way since maybe as men, you didn't pay attention to them until they were solo, but their solo affect isn't anywhere as big as they were when their groups were at their prime.

will sistas.....and brothas ever get together and form groups like that again? I miss that harmonizing. I miss music. I think growing up in the 80s and 90s I didn't appreciate the R&B enough. Thinking back, damn, there were great groups.

Groups everywhere tho...i liked alternative/Rock in the 90's...groups, hip hop...groups, pop music....groups...i know the economics for groups pretty much sucks so I can see why they don't exist, but there is a lot missing from music without them
