It's pretty cool.

I'm sure it would be better if i had a wheel, but that pricetag:huhldup:
Cant you just hold your hands out towards the camera and rotate them like you were turning a steering wheel? :lolbron:
Isn't this the same Kinect that was supposed to be able to see your heartbeat and recognize each individual person in your house? :lolbron:

Oh shyt really? Damn, Sony in trouble. Head tracking?

Guess there's no need for VR anymore since a Magnavox is enough:wow:
Nah, it's a good evolution of the tech. The type of thing people said kinect might lead to.

It's just ironic to see people shytting on half the tech/ideas that make up VR while simultaneously stanning VR:mjlol:

VR requires a camera add on.

The style of game shown off so far are the same style as kinect games.

On rails shooter/adventure games

Motion controlled first person combat.

Motion based minigame compilations

And you have a point, VR uses Kinect/wii/ps camera to give you motion controls, needed to simulate movement. So they(the games) are going to have the same principles, but Kinect is not placing you in the middle of the action like VR. Kinect does not give the player 360 degrees of view and sound, like VR does.

In my opinion, this changes how the game will be experienced, as you will no longer be looking at a tv screen, but feel as you are in the action itself. Something I don't thing Kinect can provide, holistically.

At the end of the day Kinect cant do every thing VR does but VR does every thing Kinect does and then some. Its an evolution of the technology.

Or, better yet, the technology put to a better use, to make a more complete experience.

Nah the wheel thing was for a different game. Kinect joyride.

And the kinect on X1 can read your heart rate, and recognize everyone in the room.

Well, you asked why kinect is brought up, and that's why. Many of the principles and concepts, advantages and disadvantages are the same.

The end user experience will be much different. The comparisons aren't fair. We don't entertain arguments about a first person shooter being better than an open world third person adventure game. When the experience is this different we tend to discuss them separately.
