He's got a lot of polarizing records in his collection, this might be the most polarizing with the critics as I've seen people give it anywhere from 3/10 to 4.5 mics.
I get that some people thought he kinda had ideas and throwed them out aimlessly but even in drunk boxer fashion he landed some jabs even if sonically the records might be flawed for some (Sly Fox, Breathe, We're Not Alone, Slave and the Master)

I fukked with it that summer heavy just because like now in 07-08 it had a place with everything going on (Obama's election, Jena 6, Don Imus situation, Sean Bell's murder)

It kinda worked as the alternative Hip Hop record that summer next to the Carter 3.

The World, but from BK
2008 was a good summer. Untitled, Carter 3 and The 3rd World (Immortal Technique) were the major albums that I listened to. Moreso, Nas and Immortal Technique. Wayne got some burn though. I specifically remember that summer was when the Drake was ghost writing for Wayne rumors starting.

Of course the tracks that were left off the album which were on the ****** Tape and El Dorado Black Project were fire too

Be a nikka Too
Association
Esco Lets Go
Courthouse
Something Foul
Curse of Mandingo (Fear )
Who Are You
Cops Keep Firing

And that clip of Colors made it sound like a classic

I honestly think u can make an argument that this is Nasir's 3rd best album after Illmatic and It Was Written

Agreed, I think like a lot of nas songs you need to let it sink in to really appreciate it. This whole album is more like his songs where over time it's getting better. I was playing it over this weekend and I liked it more today then I did last year. It's going to be one of those albums that gets more appreciation as time goes on
