This kills me cause he pushes a LOT of things I agree with, but I just can't trust Chris Martensen on a fundamental level. This isn't saying he's wrong, but just that he's not someone who I would promote or whose argument I would trust.

Chris is a business man and focuses on money. On covid I much prefer Dr. Campbell and even then I have commented on Campbell's ego and western bias.

What does that have to do with his specific arguments about this?

Even the "devil" speaks the truth sometimes.

I read everything with a critical mind, as should everyone.

Leave the "alliances" out of this. I am focused on the argument.

I don't believe in "West coast / East coast" alliances, memberships or "In for a penny, in for a pound" or any of that other crap.

I can agree with some things and disagree with others.

Have you actually examined the arguments? Have you?

I know you haven't so no need to answer.

Someone had me watch his videos on this last year. I poked a bunch of holes in his argument back then. I don't know if his arguments have gotten any better.

There are hundreds of hours of valuable content uploaded every second. With all the good content out there, why would I waste my time continuing to give chances to people who have already burned their chances?

There could definitely be a case for Covid coming from a lab, I've been saying that for a year. But find someone more trustworthy to make the case than a guy who has no actual experience in the issues (and no he's NOT an epidemiologist, that's a bullshyt distortion of his background that people tried to use to give him undue credibility) and who has proven time and time again to be wrong and often ridiculously wrong.

Like I pointed out, you're talking an economist with some chemistry background (not a virologist, epidemiologist, geneticist, or public health expert) who supports Red Pill Expo, G. Edward Griffin, 9/11 contrarianism, and constant sensationalist economic pollyana bullshyt and has been pushed one discredited Covid "cure" after another. Find a better "expert argument" to get behind. If his argument is solid then at least some people with more understanding of the issue and more credibility will also be cosigning it and making even better arguments themselves, right?

You have made a lot of questionable arguments over the last year, and yet here I am reading a new arguments of yours.

And here you are posting arguments for people to read, knowing that you (as have we all) have been wrong in the past.

Examine arguments "on their merits" is the golden rule.

If you consider him to be generally untrustworthy and/or discredited then don't.

The subject matter is not that complicated so you don't have to be a specialist in that area. Hasn't life taught us as much.

You are keen not to waste time? Ok, don't spam me on the topic until you review the 3rd video. There are points made there including a breakdown of the genome that you have to refute.

Anyway so far all you have done is "attack people" rather than the argument. What is your position on the distance between the cave-covid and wild Wuhan covid?

What have you concluded after looking at your other "ChrisM++" sources?

Assert something e-grow.

Don't take too long ... :sas2:

From reports by investigative journalists (instead of claims from politicians and pundits) the mishandling of Covid in Wuhan have more to do with bureucratic mess and corruption rather than lab leak coverup.

I remember another WSJ investigative article from mid to late 2020 (I'll try to find it later) claiming that the reason why China was slow in releasing the virus genetic makeup is because the rivalry between several institutes in China. Basically Chinese researchers receive funding depend on how many research papers and other discoveries they make, so when they found this new virus many institute race to be the first to patent the genetic makeup and write papers about it. This ends up with intitutes holding back from releasing their finding because they don't want someone else stole their discovery. Only after some lab in Shanghai release the genetic data without permission they finally release it themselves. This and other blunders listed above probably contributes more to the reason why they don't want investigation, not necessarily because of lab leak.

Also if the above story is true it's unlikely that Covid originated from their lab experiment since if they created it why would they fight who could patent it first like it's an unknown virus. Although @Rhakim theory about the virus recently arrive by infected lab workers that visited batcave is still plausible.

That's the @Chronic ...

^ Post contains factual errors and addresses points that I never made.

And for the last time don't bring "sociology" into this. Try for 10 mins to separate science / facts from politics. The entire world isn't wed to political ideology above facts as is so common in the USA.

Andrew Neil here tries to explain (by example) to creh, how to strip much of the person-position reasoning (in particular political position) out of a discussion.

My argument is a scientific one. Please address that. You are the fourth person (and no doubt counting) on here in the couple of weeks, who ignores the genetics, yet spams me talking about politics and "newspaper reports". Try and channel what introspection you may have and look at your arguments as someone else might see them.

Blabbing on about politics and responding to things which I have only said in your imagination is not talking a conversation forward. In fact for me, the person who point-fully refuses to get mired in political arguments about it, it is downright annoying.

Isnt this something that has already been known.

I remember the Wall Street Journal or New York Times saying US intelligence were saying the Wuhan Lab had major safety concerns a year or two before the virus leak. The Trump White House knew back in December 2019 that the virus was spreading throughout China.

China has to pay for this pandemic.
