People been saying U of H's football program is on the rise for two decades now.
They always recruited top talent since the early 2000s, but they just can't put it together during critical moments.

South Alabama needs to hire a big name coach. Joey Jones has plateau'd. so much talent down here in and around Mobile. we need to be getting better every year but the last few seasons seems like we've just been muddling along.
and they need to build a fukking stadium on campus smfh. they've built a big ass rec center, 2 nice ass living complexes, new engineering building and a bunch of other smaller shyt since ive been here but the football team still playing where the high schools play

There's 6 NFL quarterbacks that are from a 3 hour driving radius of UofH. It's the ultimate hotbed for talent

Well you're right about us fukking up at the worst times. It's happened so much people call it Coogin it
I actually saw something about the 10 highest attended home games (before this weekend) since the SWC broke up UofH is something like 2-8. shyt's pitiful.
But idk what top talent you're talking about. We really didn't recruit as well as we should have been until Sumlin came. We had a terrible program in the early 2000s. Then Briles came and got under the radar gems. Then Sumlin and Levine raised the bar in large part because of the rediscovered commitment to football. And a lot of those guys didn't make the league because they didn't have the physical measurables. I mean which of the guys "beasting" did you expect to play in the NFL that didn't make it? I can only kinda come up with 2 and Sammy Brown and PE were both under recruited guys. Hell PE was a walk on.
Dude was not the best player on the team.But I feel bad for him. He should've come back. The old staff wasted his talent. He owed it to himself to at least get one competent year of coaching before he had to worry about making somebody's NFL roster.
William Jackson has a great chance to go in the top 2 rounds next April though fwiw
