Word is the bill includes apps with million+ users would also be banned if data goes to China. Apparently Rednote is literally owned by the China Government so that app will be banned also.
yes so why is the government banning an app without proving criminal wrong doing? they are infringing on americans free speech and right to associate with whom they want.
either we have laws and principles or we don't.
china has never proclaimed a right to free speech nor are they a proponent of free market capitalism. they have a massive censorship apparatus that the u.s clearly wants to emulate and it starts with policies like this.
