regulate doesn't equal ban. they can regulate the data collection practices and policies of these companies to make them develop apps that collect very little info and determine how long that data can be kept.

Trump put in motion then lost the election, Biden had 4 years to kill this shyt but it moved through Congress with bipartisan support and he already said he would ban it if the bill hit his desk. TikTok came through and took marketshare from Meta and other platforms and the ADL decided it had to go when they saw how much pro-Palestine content there was. And that's not even conspiracy shyt, we have audio of the head of the ADL saying why TikTok became a problem.
