The conspiracy theorist in me wants to say they caved to pressure and reversed course, but they did do this on april fools day so *shrugs*. I wish they stuck with the change though, I would've joined. There is nothing wrong with having a safe space for marginalized groups, we cant always get the respite we need from the world, anywhere else.

Its the same reason why I stick around here. Im not gonna go around trying to force my way into an all latino forum and get mad when my presence is rejected, nor am am I trying to sign up for lipstickalley, its a space for black women to express themselves. Its about respect, and if you wanna be the exception and navigate through these circles despite dissimilar backgrounds, you have to show some genuine empathy, and show effort and openness when trying to understand us. The few openly white posters here arent that bad tbh( keyword openly, some yall in the closet and it shows) and thats the baseline behavior I expect.
