I feel like the restaurants down here are more ambiance than anything else. I like going out down here, because I like to dress up, and take nice pics with good backdrops. The ambiance is always on point for date night or girls night. But then the actual food is lacking.
THIS!!!
Very true, the ambiance is better than the food, so true.
As opposed to Alpharetta where both the food and ambiance is nasty :russ:

I’ve been to a few good spots of course. I would never say the food 100% sucks. I’m just missing variety. A lot of stuff is seafood boils, wings, bbq or fried this and that.

I went to an”Jamaican” spot the other day and was throughly disappointed. I should’ve known when the owner didn’t even have an accent:why:
Probably need to branch out more there are plenty of places that aren’t that. Not for actual sit down dinners anyway.

Please embrace southern comfort and southern hospitality.

Go back to New York and realize that good morning, isn't a bad word.

Convert to a southerner. Rude is not our culture
Its wild how like, night and day it can be depending on the situation.

Saw my old thread get boosted
Been living in ATL for 3 months now..........

Nothing crazy. Just been settling in to everyday life.

1. Still an ungodly amount of car accidents. But I see now people just can’t drive. Don’t use their blinkers. Don’t know how and when to merge. People be mad because they going 90 in a 55, and you going the speed limit as you should :gucci:

2. People really bring their guns everywhere here. This guy had his feet in the water at the pool, and his gun just casually sitting on top of his slides. He was nice when I told him he had to put it away though.

3. I’ve learned the Strip Club is an appropriate 1st date here.

4. People are genuinely friendly here, to the point I thought it was weird. But then I realized that’s just the unfriendly NY’er in me.

5. Men are very generous here :myman:

6. Gentrification is in overdrive. I need to hurry up and get my house.

7. Young or old, nikkas will still Hookah you to death here:why:

8. Food still sucks.

We thriving though:blessed:

I’ll update again in a year.

Being in the gay black capital...

Of course, and I’ve been there. Just saying, every time a new spot opens up its wings or seafood. I’ve already been told I need to head towards Stone Mountain area for the good African/Caribbean food tho.

This.
Atlanta restaurant scene is all about the scene itself.
The most popular spots are about being in the mix or who owns the establishment
The food is mid as fukk and I find variety to be lacking
