She is like the NWA to socially conscious rap, for the women rappers that came after her. Lauryn Hill sounds like an alien cause her message is so long ago.

I also dont appreciate it being represented as the only form of rap as the face for females in hip hop though when other women had successfully and sexily displayed conscious and hard trap rap styles, they didnt had to overtly sexualize every single bar.
