the part where she amicably leaves Byrdgang and then Jim Jones ominously implies he's gonna black ball her also sounds weird

she speak about how Cam treated her ? I got the feeling Cam didn't fukk with her at all. I think I posted it before but there was an event at one of Dames art pop ups and Jim, Cam, Shiest Bubz, Smoke Dza were there and people got to asking about people who were around them like Frankie Krutches etc and someone mentioned Jha Jha and Cam sort of gave a dismissive look at Jim and Jim laughed at went "my fault" or "my bad".
Cam was a mean girl.

He dismissed Frankie Krutches too, was like I don’t know him. That’s Jim’s mans.
But he had the videos lit.

I think he could push 100k on koch fairly easy with the right set up..
He had a cult following in NY.

NY don't buy retail.

I know jr writer did just under 30k 1st week on Koch, and that's with two street hits and he was more popular than stack.

I know people tend to overrate popularity of certain artists, but some of y’all underrate it. I know y’all hate NY on here but I hate to tell you, most of the nikkas with a big buzz during the 2001-2007 era were NY mixtape rappers and nikkas from EVERY region was listening to them not just NY people.

no hate. but some of these NY dudes that get hyped up on here don't even be buzzing like that thru the rest of the east coast, let alone the rest of the country.

we knew stack was nice for years out here via the A-team and byrd gang but there was never any big demand for a stack bundles solo mixtape, let alone album over here, and we're just a few doors down from yall.

he wasn't buzzing like a max b, jr writer, hell rell or even vado.

sidenote: I always felt like new York gets behind the wrong rappers/producers, while dudes with real potential play the back. but I guess its all about who has the bigger connects to push the button.

lol. yea max looks like he could be related too.
he actually looks ALOT like that dude ro murda, who just got booked with 9-trey. I laughed when I saw his face & thought of max.

but yea, I forgot how I used to complain on sohh about him getting pushed out the blue while writer, rell & them were still on the shelf.

so I figured he was jones' cousin or some chit.

this was before I realized that jones was branching off with his own crew.:snoop:

also in the music business all you need is 1 hit and you're outta here. These dudes were writing hits for Jim, they could have ended up just like the rest of the era mixtape miggas but they just as easy could have had a hit at the time and been outta there or at least be in a position where they could have left their hood/not ending up having to rob nikkas.

I remember being so shocked when I found out how ugly she was.:mjcry:

From the way she was rapping I thought she would've looked like Aaliyah or some shyt.:mjlol:

Her career never had a chance.:francis:
I felt the same way after hearing hell rell before seeing him.

nikka had that voice and was talkin' about his hair bein' wavy in a Mercedes. I was like "This nikka a pretty boy!":banderas:

Then I saw his face and was disappointed, to say the least:hhh:

Hell Rell is one ugly motherfukker.:dead:

I used to think that's the face you get from living a hard life.

To think that nicca was in his early 20s too. Looking like Benjamin Button's uglier twin.:bryan:

I'd die to see his high school photos.

I believe her. At the very least if Stack had a part in Ballin he should have had writing credits and should have been out the hood. I fukk with his music but it's been obvious that Jim was a foul ass nikka when it came to the business shyt with Byrdgang. If we're being real Dipset in general. All of their greeds and respective bullshyt fukked up what should have been something much greater.

Maybe thats not how they operated, they were a crew. They probably just worked together and exchanged hooks and verses for free. If Jim Jones charged stack for a verse yall would call him dirty. Crews work like that all the time, nothing about his music said he was interested in leaving the hood anyway.

I actually got startled scrolling down because she actually looks like a female Stack Bundles now:picard:

what catchy songs did he make??

serious question cuz im sure yall had access to way more stack songs out there.

i'd say that nipsey had the look/persona/voice to at least be the marginal success that he was. especially considering the weak era that he made money in, ESPECIALLY in the tumbleweeds of the west coast scene.

but even with all that to his advantage, nipsey still wasn't a star neither.:manny:

hindsight is 20/20,nobody knew the direction lyrics would go,and that lyricism in New York itself would fall off a cliff and not be cared about. I don't know if he could have been Meek, since Meeks style is more relatable nationwide and he can be more of a chameleon. So no he wouldn't have been a star as the south takeover was much longer and dominant then the season people thought it would be.They just kept coming with star after star throwing haymakers, lyricism becoming less and less important and more downplayed. This isn't a shot at the south either btw,I never really cared about lyricism either, never thought it was corny either,I like balance.
