Why wouldn’t UMG bring this up in court themselves? 😂🤣

The whole thing is stupid and nonsensical, just meant to grab headlines for a week…that like everything else even tangentially involving Drake, people do this weird thing where they pretend they’re too stupid to see it

Botted streams essentially steal money from the streaming services, they end up paying out to the labels and artists for fraudulent consumption…they have no incentive to allow it and actively seek to stop it…why would they sue Spotify, it’d be like suing the labels for people pirating music on the internet…they’re the victim :mjlol:

@Busby can’t answer why Drake does 4x shows in a city but thinks Drake can’t do stadiums

It has been explained by HDD that an artist doing 4x shows in the same city doesn't mean that same artist can do stadiums... It has been proven that A LOT OF people actually attend multiple shows...

While someone can attend multiple shows in the same city (and most of them do it), that same person still can't multiply himself to fill multiple seats in the same stadium. Selling 60k tickets to 40k people =/= selling 60k tickets to 60k people.

This will be dismissed.
Looking at the specifics in the filing, geolocation data of users, connection status, etc. its a stronger case.

The OVO contingent stopped reading at "Defendant(s)" so they could rush to defend him but if you look at the context of the allegations, it makes sense why he's used as the example, his numbers make it easy to spot the anomalies.

The question is, where\how did the Plaintiff get their hands on metrics that presumably only Spotify would have? If that was legitimately obtained (i.e. whistleblower) then they have a much better case against Spotify ignoring obvious fraudulent streams.

:russ: He should have named Kendrick instead. He would have had more of a chance.
At this point everybody knows he uses bots

Apparently there's a third one

Lawyers say this time Spotify and Drake are likely going to be punished as there's evidence of botting from Drake (Only rapper in mainstream rap to ever get caught in the past...damn dude sitll didn't learn)
