Been in Qatar the past 9 years. Hands down 2015 - 2019 were the best years of my life.

Just moving on to something new and was seeing if any brehs was out there from the site like it was in Qatar. One of my closet friends i met thru The Coli in Qatar oddly enough

Don't let the media have yal fooled
Happy you made a good living out there, always good to hear people living good.

The media tells me Qatar and the Gulf states are paradise: everyone is rich and they don't have "Western's problems there.

What's the best and worst thing about living out there? I heard if you're a westerner your good in their books but it can be hell for non-westerners. My somali boy was born and raised there and he said they still treated him like shyt, not saying that's how they threat everyone but that was his experience. I understand everyone has their own.

Thanks bruh

When it comes to Qatar & UAE this is pretty muhc true for the locals.
Qatar has a vast majority of natural gas on the planet and it's only about 350k Qataris so they eating.
UAE also has their people sitting rigth as well.

Saudi, they have about 30 million or so people so they vast majority of them are "regular", but it's lots of families that are very well off.
Bahrain, they "regular", and Oman, they pretty much "regular". Their goverments do look out for them with the basis like schooling, etc on the free.

But the very well off ones are typically Qataris and Emirates

Yeah, that's failry true. I always tell people, our here it's more so passport "racism" moreso that the color of your skin. This is place where you can really see how much your US passport is worth.

Best thing about living here: Easier access to upper middle classs life across the board

Worse thing about living here:

For me personally I don't really have major complaints.
For the avergae person from a non developed country though like your boy from Somali (or sundan, yemen, etc) This place will never truly be home for them even if they spend 50 years here. Once they are done working, for the most part it's time to leave the country and they tend to not really have anywhere to go unless they imrgated to the US/UK, etc
