How effectively can a site with billions of users be moderated?

That's a fair question. I wouldn't expect perfection but these companies haven't even made reasonable attempts to oversee the content uploaded on their platform which makes them culpable. The mods here on the Coli ain't perfect, but post a dikk pic and see what happens. Pornhub and FB are making money hand over fist. They can afford to invest in more oversight or mandate verification before anything gets uploaded.

The problem is a lot of the brainchilds behind these platforms are pro freedom of speech or pro freedom of expression to a fault. Freedom comes with responsibility, but they dont want to be held accountable.

Yep, if Mastercard is out, so is Visa and once those two are out, then the feds show up. Pornhub had a good run, but not all runs end on a good note. Plus, with a lot of people making their own shyt sees Onlyfans as a good platform to make money, while using Reddit and Twitter as the place to advertise their content, PH is going to have a hard time competing against them.

All and all, never would of thought Xhamster and Xvideos would outlast Pornhub, seeing as Mindgeek have an monopoly on the market.
