I don't think I'm getting 5.1 from mine though. Maybe because my PC is 4 years old...
Is you PC connected to your TV or receiver?

Google "realtek audio drivers" and install the drivers, that should help

If you're connected to a receiver you shouldn't need the drivers though

Tried it in 2 different rooms with 2 different receivers. I was just fukking around quickly with it, but it didn't sound like the surrounds and the sub were working

Is your receiver set to Dolby Digital or DTS?

Make sure its not on stereo or one of them faux surround settings

Off the top I don't know what they're "set" to. I know nothing was changed from how I watch TV/movies
