The NBA does a much better job of hiring black Head Coaches who were former players. Hopefully with Mayo & Pierce being hired the trend will continue.

Good hire to be honest. Pierce had them playing and was making some great calls through the season.

A QB like Bo Nix with their defense can take them far.

The success of this depends on his coordinator choices and if he's allowed to make them without interference. Trusting the players like this can be a double edged sword. They can be loyal in a way that they can't see his blind spots.
