Was skeptical about the hire. You can't win in this league without a QB. Minishew a good backup, good stopgap, but he's not a legit starter. Add a star receiver who wants to get traded. He' sabout to be 1 and done.

Even yesterday you go from Minshew who is a 97 Toyota Camry, reliable for long periods but can only go so fast then bring in a straight shytter in O’Connell who belongs in the arena league.

Funny thing is the terms of his contract were never publicly known, so it may be a 1 year incentive laced contract
I was excited about the Pierce hire because of how well the defense performed the last 8 games of the season. We hadn't had a defense that good in ages. This year, they've taken a major step backwards.
Also his clock management, decision making was always gonna be an issue. And another problem is he hired a terrible OC too in Luke Getsy and he has no QB. I think Patrick Graham is fine as a DC.
No QB and bad play caller means 5-6 wins.

LOL this was the exact moment I jumped off the Pierce ship. I was so pissed at that.
Are they still on the hook for Gruden's 100M? That's the only reason I can think he lasts another year if he's working cheap. He's not a pro HC. He makes McDaniels look like Lombardi, his clock management and game stewardship are embarrassing.

I don't see it in Pierce either, but a competent QB would help a ton and cover some of his shortcomings
Remember mckenzie drafted carr, cooper, mack, even though some players health was questionable, but mark davis was in love with washed up Gruden and it was down hill from there meanwhile mckenzie had left the organization and immediately helped with the dolphins
