Not at all. I said unless you actually pay THEM. Meaning the people you come across on the street individually. There is no gang out here to pay for protection. You have to pay the nikkas that are going to push up on you on the streets and after you pay them there's some other nikkas a few blocks away that want theirs and after that theirs more a few more blocks and so forth. In L.A you can pay 1 set and be cool. Ain't none of that happening out here which is why you don't see nikkas hanging out in Oakland like they do L.A., any out of towner can come to L.A to do a video and can leave unscathed. nikkas ain't coming to Oakland shooting videos and Drake didn't shoot YOLO in the town before anybody says he did.

Berkeley, CA (Sports Network) - Tampa Bay wide receiver was unharmed after being mugged at gunpoint on Wednesday. According to police, Johnson was approached by two men while talking on a cell phone after he stepped out of a local barber shop. The two men fled after Johnson handed over money and jewelry. No arrests have been made.

I know what you're getting at and yeah you definitely can get that work in Oakland but we're talking about a population(city limit wise) of 400,000 compared to 4,000,000. A celeb stepping out into the Oakland is definitely gonna be more visible in Oakland as compared to LA, where's there's tons of low key areas and 'hiding spots'. So on that scale yes you're definitely taking a gamble by being out and about in Oakland as compared to LA

LA is definitely safer and more civilized than Oakland. Blacks in LA have evolved into more responsible, educated citizens, our (AA) medium income is much higher. I feel kinda bad for Oakland, they're still uneducated savage animals stuck in the 90s. I mean, damn it's been 20 years and yall getting WORSE? I hope one day the children of Oakland get an education, crawl out the slums, crack detox and can live a calm safe professional life like their southern brothas.

medium income means nothing

theres places in LA with lower medium income than Oakland (watts, east side low bottoms south central, etc)

some of tha most notorious sets in LA come from higher income areas (Rolling 60s and Eight Tray Gangstas specifically)

these nikkaz still rob and kill, sometimes even more than their "grimier" and lower income east side counter parts...
