It's funny that "news" about ps4 is always some comparision stuff that has to do with Xbox. There is literally nothing good to say about ps4 without mentioning Xbox.

On the flip side news about Xbox always entails some new features/details about the games/system.

Sony fans look forward to beating Xbox. Xbox fans look forward to enjoying their system

Going off personal experience from people I've talked to. And the fact that most Xbox one preorders were before the drm switch meaning those were people who embraced digital console gaming. Also xbox has promoted digital games/instant switching/snap so it makes sense that people would want to use those features. Also there was a huge thread on gaf with people talking about buying digital for X1

Just look at this forum. When a new Xbox thread is made. It's about Xbox and new info on the games and system capabilities. Any new thread on ps4 is soley about a comparison with Xbox. You can't find a thread on ps4 that doesn't have something to do with Xbox. Look at the official ps4 thread. There's no news in there. Nobodies in there talking about how excited they are about ps4. Your all talking about how much Xbox sucks.

There were plenty of stories of Xbox preorders doing well before the switch. Obviously they picked up after the switch, but that still doesn't erase the preorders before the switch.
