How news cycles work nowadays, it will be talked about a couple more days, brought back up the season opener, brought back up the TCU game (1st big game of the season and no Urban), and brought back up once more when he returns his 1st game back. After that I highly doubt it will be mentioned. On to the next hot story

No he didn't do what he was supposed to do. Urban knew about the situation with Zach & Courtney Smith, as did his wife and kept a known domestic abuser on staff despite the numerous police calls & text messages from his own wife about the situation. He lied about it to the press on Media Day, he has shown a repeated pattern of lying about what he did know and also covering up & deleting text messages related to the event. You're acting like this is a random person...Urban had a relationship with Zach Smith because Zach Smith's grandad was Urban's mentor and "father figure". If he was gonna be aware of what anybody on his staff was doing it would be Zach Smith. But no, he consistently turned a blind eye to this situation despite being fully aware of what was going on.

So with that being said why are you absolving Urban of blame here?

Heather Dinich talking about how this is going to be against Urban Meyer for the rest of career, this will define his legacy but my thing is, Urban's off the field legacy was already defined at Florida with the fake Heart Attack, the other Zach Smith incident, and possibly covering up #87 murdering someone (which at this point is a CJK5H rumor) so we all know he's a great coach who's an a$$hole, imo, this adds to it, but doesn't define Urban.

No this will be a defining moment for Urban. The fake heart attack and connection with Aaron Hernandez are foot notes, this is a huge blemish against his leadership and the fact that no matter what you think about this situation, Urban Meyer is a serial liar
