SMH. It’s crazy how Roc is seen as Surf’s lil homie but has always been a better and more entertaining battler.

While i agree, It's Roc's fault for letting Surf "Big Bro" him every time they are seen publicly. As much as i like Roc. He doesn't move around like he's a boss. And he should.

Yep

People judge Lux on what he’s capable of rather then what he’s been consistently giving us for years now.

Calicoe/Hollow/Flex freestyle are outer space moments. It’s just not realistic to expect battlers to reach that kind of space too often.

I think another important factor is that the game has evolved greatly too. At the time when Lux had those moments he was the only one in that stratosphere of lyricism & performance.

Nowadays...he’s not alone. When guys like Rum Nitty, B Dot, Daylyt, prepared Twork, the best version of JC...just to name a few..are really wigging, Lux’s pen is no longer on an island like it was 8 years ago. It’s like Lebron before 2013...then Kawhi, Steph, KD, and Harden started blackin out.

I do have a question....do you any of you think that Lux was even that motivated to battle Surf in the first place? Maybe during Double Impact 2 against Gun Titles. But now? Just wondering.

No. I called it Ars v Lux 2 before the battle. Lux n ICE brought Surf into the game. The better match up would have been Mook Surf.

Surf should just focus on music or have to face JC/Cortez for his crimes tonight.. Hell give him Twork in a career ending match up..

300 murders a year
There is no excuse for surf turning in that poor of a performance. But honestly its his fans fault he got to this moment and dropped the ball. He been doing this jersy shyt for years and people still clamored to see him in big match ups. Meanwhile guys like Danny jc John John etc come with 3 every time out and fans shyt on them and act like they have to go through shyt to get big plates.

Remember how jc got trampled for losing to loso, guess what that jc was better than both surf and lux tonight.

And im a fan of lux but I'm sorry he gets too many dam passes for poor performances like this.

how is it fair expectations to expect someone to battle like they did 6 years ago?

I suppose I should expect Verb to battle like he did against Hollow?

Or Big T to battle like he did against Surf?
He dropped a radio freestyle whatever months ago that is considered one of the best ever in rap, PERIOD. He put on an insane performance in his first 2 on 2 within g the last year. Are we really pretending Lux still doesn't have it?

Agreed with everything except idk about JC's last performance being better than Lux, but you have a point.

I said this last year and I’ll say it again, a flex freestyle and battle rapping are completely different

Are you the clown that said Lux was going to kill Verb because of the flex freestyle?

And then you’re comparing a 2v2, an environment where you have to write limited material, to an actual 1v1 battle?

yeah you’re coming off unrealistic

the best way to gauge a battler is off their recent battles. Not a fukking freestyle.

we’ll agree to disagree

Exactly, I been sayin that shyt out here forever. Roc is not a BOSS, he worker nikka

All of Tay Roc’s moves over the last few years scream “lil nikka”

Like how he went under Surf even tho he was OVER Surf at that time.

He’s NOT a boss, it’s just not in him.
And there’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s a difference and it showed

Goodz really TALKED to that nikka

Roc is a worker, he doesn’t have it in him to be the boss

He’s an under-boss at best.
Surf clearly has that boss character, so Roc playin his position works as a team.

That bein said, it surprises me nobody really FULLY used that angle on Roc.

Lux set the tone lovely out the gate tho when he said “Lil bro went and got.. lil bro” :russ:
A-1 sonning

I don’t believe Roc at all either.
I’ve consistently been on here sayin Roc is a WORKER, it shows in all of his moves
