Facts. Lux showed up. I think some of these nikkas rely on crowds to decide for them.

The energy just wasn’t there.

Surf looked too unsure of himself, nervous, timid, etc. damn near the whole battle.

While Lux did have some good material, I feel like he held back on the aggression factor. He didn’t really “sell” the lines like I thought he would’ve...or should’ve in this case.

JC would be the best opponent for him in terms of motivation, but he gotta be careful with Daylyt. Very careful.

I think he could big boy JC but he gonna have to come with it for Daylyt. He can't angle his way out of that one. I mean, he could, but he knows that's not what people want from that.

He gotta stop battling people he has a relationship with. His best performances (Hollow and Calicoe) were people he hated before the battle or at least had no connection to.

I feel or better yet, I’m hoping we will when he battles day. I see that battle happening at summer madness. If day shows out against rum for the next big event like he did tonight, he will get lux next. Lux seems to want him. Then lux needs to hang it up except for a 2v2 paycheck.

To add on, I’m convinced fans aren’t really fukking with Lux like that anymore. Not necessarily on the level of Verb, but not too far off.

They get excited about him being on a card due to his old performances, but trash him after these battles.

I don’t think their brand of battle rap resonates with the fans.

If Surf got through his rounds clean, I don’t think he would have won anyway. However, based on the fact he has a more fan friendly style, I believe the perception of this battle would be totally different. I think the second is a clear example. I thought Lux won it kind of clearly, but the vast majority gave it to Surf. However, I do feel people will realize Lux won that round when they get to rewatch it.
