:jbhmm: So if you criticize Cash Money for treating Lil Wayne like a Slave you don’t support Black Businesses either, huh?
i think we're talking about different things

supporting black business is supporting capitalism. it's supporting black people thriving in a capitalist sphere. b dot said

"Or is it the same trick that got us to board the Slaveship
From that European invasion
Capitalism, they ain’t change shyt"

the other side of capitalism is the producer of the content (b dot) holding out for a bigger pay day from the distributor (smack). he's playing the same game as smack, and losing according to his terms, i guess, since he agreed to do a PG after a year+ of standing his ground

unless he means to say that he's anti-capitalist, which is cool and i might have some of those same leanings myself, but then i'm not gonna sell my services to the guy who i feel is ripping me off, either. and that's my point, B Dot is all over the place, from religion to social theory to whatever the hell else he's talking about besides gangbanging and guns (which is ironic as shyt), it's like a buffet of half cooked chicken that looks good but actually isn't

he comes across as an intelligent guy who hasn't really taken the time to learn what he wants to teach, and he's a great battler in a lot of respects, which is why i find him frustrating as an artist

lil wayne being paid for 20 years in cars he didn't have the title to is a little different than tay roc battling 7x a year on the big stage with two UDUBB battles, but not going to KOTD or RBE because of a smack contract. roc was laughing about how beasley put him on a spirit flight to Traffic 3 and rebuttalled hollow saying he didn't have enough money to look after other people's families, so it could be that shyt just doesn't get to him like it does others

nah, if he lost 2-1, he lost 2-1

him having the best round overall shouldn't override that, we've given other battlers L's in those same situations, he can get his props and still take the loss

and what made the round was so fire was him coming at URL, not EK :hubie:
If that’s the case then Verb lost to Hitman:yeshrug:

Everybody I know says Verbs 3rd won him that battle and he would have lost without it.

*edit: I still feel like B-Dot won this 2-1 anyway, it seems like battlers always have strong first and then lose steam against him.

EK won the first two kinda clear to me. BDot was pretty light early on I thought.

I agree with everyone else about BDot's third though, that shyt was legendary.

How can round of the year not even be directed at your opponent, not even a battler

Make a song about it B Dot

Ridiculous bruh. EK broke this man's morals and principles down and exposed him as a fraud. But the round where bdot talks about smacks business practices negates all that. :laff:

Honestly. Clear 3-0 cause bdot was a hypocrite. Honestly bruh you can't be an activist and talk they gangster shyt too. No fence sitting.

I'm sayin'. That's why I think B Dot won. It was a lose-lose situation if URL vaulted or released the battle either way. They vault it, they know how the fans get about vaulted battles...depending on who it is, they will raise all kinds of hell to see it. They release it, they please the fans but take a hit on what they have been doing with the talent business-wise behind the scenes.

So by your logic, Lux, Oops and T Double O has lost all of their battles?

i dont 100% agree with the last point, but he is a philosophical mess, yes

the funny shyt here is that people think smack gives one single fukk about what battlers say about him, especially ones doing a PG after refusing to do so

also funny is the idea that this round will hurt URL as a business, like LABG is about make that move because a bunch of dudes from LA went nuts for a shoutout to their region in their region from a battler from their region at the first major smack event in their region

i don't disagree with that but the one thing you are missing from this argument is perception. only other battle rapper that really tried to go in on SMACK URL was when Dougy was battling NJT over some money for the PGs. didn't really go over for him too well, did it? it looked like he was chasing the bag more so which you can't fault him for. but the perception of what and how he said it, made it an issue. now what B Dot did was make it relevant to black business which is a very strong point to make. "i'm for all for supporting black business but black business has to support you back". i don't care who are, but that shyt out of everything he said was nothing more than the truth. that made me realize it was more than just the situation with the whole "do a PG battle" shyt.

and he made it very relevant to the state of hip hop and the west coast. so the crowd is already rockin' with him on what he was sayin'. EK's rebuttals were fiyah but it wasn't enough.

I agree with that entirely. Im just saying, putting myself in Smack's shoes, I might've vaulted that to spare my organization the embarrassment of our business practices laid bare like that. I also might've done it to dissuade other battlers from angling my enterprise in that way too.

Don't get me wrong, Im glad they didnt (that's my first time seeing the battle) and I would've been at them with the pitchforks too if they would've tried to duck that wreck, but after seeing it, I can honestly say that I would've understood if they did it. That was some scathing shyt.
