Millenials are starting to form the critical of battle rap fans now, whereas before it was cats who grew up in the 80s and 90's.
I say this to say, as a battle rap fan i literally want to see a dope event with great battles and crazy energy, the younger newer fans seem to be more interested in their guy. Complete Stan dikk riding culture.
Even more shocking for me is how the entire post battle conversation is always about "2-1" this and that, even respected bloggers do this tit for tat scorecard argument, i rarely hear people actually quoting multiple bars that were said either way.
Remember no one watches or falls in love with battle rap coz someone won 2-1,we watch to hear crazy metaphors and punchlines and big moments, these newer fans just wanna argue ALL day. Classic example I'm not a JC fan coz he looks too skinny, no facial hair and literally I don't believe nothing he says, BUT I'll never argue that he possesses a goat pen game, I love Surf but that will never blind me to how he chokes, gives 2 rounds or nitpick who to battle or his overall diva shyt, same goes for Chess . It seems newer fans cannot FEEL what they FEEL, and separate that from the actual bars.
Remember how terrible the Charlie Clips gas era was, now it's not just 1 guy, it's the entire culture
