Generally I prefer URL's production but I love what Avocado did with the Duel in the Desert battles. He took a negative (a stage setup with a mostly empty venue) and flipped it in into a positive with the battlers on stage forming a loose semi circle.

Tough call. KOTD is really top notch. The production values on Math vs Diz official release were mind blowingly good. Felt like I was watching a damn movie.

But Smack maintains that street vibe and there's a quality about it thats hard to describe. It just works. On a good day at least. For a while the Smack production values were really inconsistent and even like a year ago some of their releases were trash like that Snkrburst event. But ever since Smack linked up with the dude that shot UFF they've been doing a great job.

I really like John Doe too. I wish Smack would give him a look. The QP vs QP battle was so dope they way he shot it.

KOTD wouldn't be able to maintain the high production levels that they have if they had crowds the same size as URL events. It simply would be impossible for them to control the crowd properly in order to cue in all cameras and microphones like how they do on the PPV footage.

Whatever happened to the production team URL had for SM2? They haven't had footage of that quality since then.

One of the best things KOTD has going is Avacodo. That, and they are smart enough to start the battle within the first 60 seconds of the video so the intro doesn't get skipped altogether.

I disagree. They did that when the venue matched Smack's at Disaster vs Arsonal 2. That shyt was amazing what they did with the footage.

And to answer the question. URL has stepped it up with the big stage events like SM4. They are using the BET production team to do their events and the quality has improved dramatically.
