URLTV Smack Volume 9: Tsu Surf vs. Nu Jerzey Twork Live on Caffeine 6 PM EST (12/18/21)

A few observations after watching Surf and Twork…

1. Surf is basically rapping the way he rapped against Gotti in every battle now. The only thing that’s really different is his punches are improved.

2. Round 1. Twork had better material here. Had he rapped this round clean he would have taken it…had some insane haymakers in between all those stumbles…Surf was great here plus clean so he takes it.

3. Round 2. The crowd was really getting behind Twork here and it was by far his cleanest round. I could see a Twork stan making an argument he took it. I preferred Surf’s material. That opps got it out for blue/I got it in fa red (infrared) bar was CRAZY. Surf edges it.

4. Round 3. Twork was really TALKIN to surf up to that “Rolling Stone” bar. Sound like he was damn near bout to do a B-Dot/T-Top/Geechi/DNA level 3rd ..then the stumbling started smh. Surf’s street fighter scheme was weak. Again…he was clean so he takes it.


Surf 3-0 but if Twork doesn’t choke he wins 2-1 in my eyes.

Surf is out here looking like the endgame battler he supposed to be. This is crazy when u really think about it. A CLEAR 9-0 in the past what 120 days?? Call it how it is. No one is fukking with surf right now. JC better stay away from this nikka.

Eazy with the clear win imo but Shine wasn't bad at all. Eazy/Goodz should be a good one!!

Surf would demolish JC right now. Cortez as well.

I want to see Surf vs Daylyt

You are doing a bit much. JC has been winning or debateable more or less on cruise control. I'd like to think he won't go at Surf with some shyt he wrote 5 days before the battle.

Cortez...he might need to go in the time chamber and train under 50x gravity, I'm a keep it real. He and Math have something for him. I'm sure Surf knows this, which is why he's been ducking so long. Allegedly, that bag ARP offered him was crazy, and you know Smack would have matched or beat it for Surf/Math, that's one of the last true grudge matches left.

Give me a performance from JC recently that would make me think he could beat Surf? Even JC at his best lacks the completeness of Surf when it comes to performance, delivery, and straight up rapping ability in terms of flow and cadences he gets into. Only thing JC does better than Surf is write, that's not enough.


JC, Verb and Lux always been my top 3 favorites. So I'm not hating on JC, but there's a reason he is pretty much been in the same spot for 8 years. He hasn't elevated. He's still a cold rapper, but if Surf is on his A game, JC can't beat him.

Like I said, cruise control, and you Surf fans let him skate (no Pun intended) with some okay shyt and sell it like it's amazing. nikkas were sweating that OBC ass X-Men scheme against Geechi, but if almost anyone else said it, you'd roll your eyes. Also, I think a lot of people are just excited he's not fukking up. JC has damn near the opposite effect. He's been so consistently good, if he doesn't leave Earth, y'all look at him funny.

Woah breh. His was FIRE for like 5-6 battles straight after the Loso debacle.. Thats a very bold statement... JC do gotta get back to rapping though. I know why he changed his style but its time to come home.

Surf is just using more of his natural rapping ability on stage. And if you pay attention to his music, he really improved his delivery all-around. He sped up his flow a bit and started using more compound syllables in-between the end of his bars (like the shyt you see Ransom doing a lot lately). I heard some recent Surf features that he previewed on IG and he's basically rapping the exact same way that he does in his battles now, just with a beat behind him and less punchlines. It's like he finally figured out that he's just an overall better rapper than these nikkas and is fully using that to his advantage. He's doing more rapping rapping on stage. Chess and Eazy definitely made him update the way he delivers his punches so it appeals to this new Caffeine era (Shine needs to do this) but I think him rapping with Leaf Ward made him work on his flow. A lot of people were saying that Leaf got the best of him on one of the songs they did and I started noticing the change after they did those records. It just trickled over into battle rap. shyt don't got as much to do with Chess and Eazy as people think it does.

Twork should probably take the TSU surf approach and rewind it all the way back if he starts choking. It maybe repetitive but it does save the embarrassment of stumbling.

In Surf defense he seems to like getting his shyt out clean with no reaction which is why he starts telling the crowd to shut up when they start going crazy.

Most rappers are set up set up punchline.... sSurfs pattern is unorthodox in a sense that he has buildups with punchlines layered inbetween. So fans react before he's finished. It makes him bring it all the way back.

If an nba player does a crazy dunk and the crowd yells while they're taking off the ball player keeps going because it's not a distraction

In a spoken word sport when the crowd starts yelling the rapper stops because they know the crowd will miss something... so surf is returning to the beginning of the dunk... if they pull him down in mid air he can't just return to that spot. He feels he has to start from before the takeoff to get it right and present us with the full effect...

He brought the street fighter shyt back further than this one because they wouldn't even let him get to the finale. They reacted for every character
