you could take a miami nikka drop him back in ja & they'd blend in same way

flawda is the only state that gives that similar caribbean vibe as far as environment

lil.bill is extremely haitian he on that z shyte way more than anything he reps that first & foremost

busta speaking out of ignorance he'd have to know he was being misleading to have an ulterior motive ha

sounds like he was speaking to folks who he knew would cosign & share his perspective to me

you have heard how many caribbean folk talking crazy about aa folk¿

so are you speaking as someone who is directly familiar with the caribbean community or at you taking the very loud opinion of a minority number of caribbean folk talking bs¿

it for sure is fukked up we are in 2021 still dealing with fukkery i 100% agree with that ha

Grew up with people fresh here, and first/second generation, I'm not talking bout shyt I heard on the internet

Even people older then me used to argue about Caribbean arrogance. That's why I'm happy this is out in the open, cause it was like black peoples little secret.

My issue is I thought talking about our issues would help us fix them, but I'm seeing it's not enough, you have too many west Indians who are obviously still talking crazy behind closed doors

I was on Queenzflip ig live, and he started complaining about the followers then he said "man yall Americans are raised different". This man is the epitome of an American from NYC, but he somehow see himself different.

The same for Shampoo who used to go on his show. He outright said "west indians are better", no one said anything. In fact two people next to him shook their head in agreement!

What's crazy is Shampoo eats food we eat, he showed how to make collard greens with hamhocks on Christmas. He's always singing r&b oldies. Talk like us, but somehow west Indians are better

And you're trying to tell me this issue isn't real? Stop pissing on my leg, and telling me it's raining

as i said half-facts or partial truths

folks speaking really from their shared perspective

it's a mandela effect type of thing where a individual like busta is gonna remember & call shyte differently

in his head & those that share that sphere of perspective it's right

folks don't be speaking from the textbook historical perspective they speak from the personal perspective

the facts are not made commonly known like shyte is not apart of the curriculum at all

ha

half facts and partial truth with hardly any facts or truth:scusthov:

Anyone with a grasp on NYC musical history will tell you it was pretty much founded by Jewish immigrants and ADOS migrants from the South:

to top it all off, Jews was biting ADOS' style:lolbron:

This. Hell, he bushed his own track (The Ugliest) from his debut album which had Biggie on it spitting a cold diss at Pac produced on a dope ass Dilla beat because he wanted to avoid any kind of smoke when the album dropped after Pac died (the song was recorded when he was still alive). Now Diddy got the original copy of the song in his possession but who knows if it’s since been destroyed or not.
I never heard this story, but that wasn't wrong/shameful to do breh.

& you know what i am realizing

this really just is the nature of humanity in a million different variations

antagonistic divisive petty

because this the same type of talk folks from different neighborhoods talk shyte different sides in the same family popping shyte fukking bad blood between siblings on & on & on

it is tough when all i know is solid individuals from every group

that is coloring my perspective when maybe most folks ain't as solid as those i've been fortunate to know

look close enough & we'd find every group is guilty as charged

Dumb.

Bob Marley and a lot of early reggae and other forms were poor copycats of Curtis Mayfield & the Impressions, Sam Cooke, etc.

We don't give Curtis enough credit. Breh was a genius. Father of most of the Jamaican sound, one of Jimi Hendrix's favorite guitarists, influenced early hip hop, etc. Wrote Civil Rights anthems. Wrote one of the first concept albums with Super Fly.

Curtis has more influence on Black American music and sound than that of the Caribbean combined.

A true father of this shyt....and left so much to eat.

I’m not looking through all them shows but it’s the “ask shampoo” show with stace, and lansky

I linked it to “Cadillac” a couple of years ago so you can ask him or look through his posts
Found the post. He took them videos down. wonder if it's related to what he said
