First of all this article and headline are fake news, it’s shoddy reporting
They are taking the elimination of a particular program and making it look like the military is not allowing immigrants to join the army
Second, legal status is not the same thing as legal immigrant, what apparently is happening is that these people have student visas, h1b or other types of visas but they don’t have resident visas
A person with a resident visa aka green card would have no problem joining the military but somebody with legal status does not qualify to join the military unless they have a resident visa
So I did read the whole thing and I never said they were illegal and I actually understood the article better then you did

there needs to be some undercover boss type shyt w/ these politicians, since so many grew up rich & out of touch. trump could not be further removed from an e-4 in the army. if it wasn't for the military, sports, etc. this country would still be segregated.
i always thought they should make a movie about middle eastern people that served in the army...i'm talkin 70s & 80s. they were a different breed. they weren't on some patriotic bs, just regular working class dudes that wanted to earn a good living. i knew some syrians, lebanese, etc like that growing up. nowadays immigrants live here for over a decade & still come off like a foreign exchange student.
