If I’m an oil executive, why would I gamble 100s of millions to give Venezuela’s oil assets a facelift, when there’s a high chance of Trump becoming a lame duck in 10months? He could do it in Venezuela and Colombia because there´s all those people who have ties to the US over there. You got a Presidental Guard who got a cousin in Miami and they can easily compromise you.
They´ll try to press them out saying he´ll do it again (which he won´t). My guess is they´ll just stall him out and wait for the next congress to investigate him to death and he drops this.
