"Why aren't millennials having kids?" :sadcam:
:shaq2:

Women spend prime baby making years pursuing education/careers, availability of birth control and contraception, availability of pornography, don't need children to work the land or care for you when you're elderly....:manny:

There're more reasons, but what are the solutions?

Show one thread in HL that has gone down that road. Show me ONE thread this entire year where that happened. Or last year. :usure:

And why would I need to dap fish? :mjlol:
Pick any of the abortion threads.

Or any online discussion about that or this threads topic.

Be honest, what was the point of the initial reply then? What were you trying to imply?

You were taking an issue that has nothing to do with gender animosity and trying to make it about gender animosity. I was mocking that poor attempt at diversion and suggesting it had more to do with you than with the OP.

I'm still waiting for you to post a single HL thread where people pulled the gender card to shut down a legitimate argument.

it’s expensive as hell to raise a child and give them the best opportunity to succeed.

Day Care, private schools or expensive housing so you are in a good school district, extra curricular activities, tutors etc. The middle and upper middle class can only afford one or two kids.

Most of my college friends, who tend to be middle class or above, have one or two kids at the most. The only people I know with more than three kids are my working class hood friends who started having kids in their late teens or early twenties.

It's not exactly like the world is short on people considering there are almost 8 billion people currently alive, which is by far more than any other time in human history.

So I don't see this as too much of an issue. If anything it's probably a good thing. :yeshrug:
i agree.who gives a fukk?

last i checked americans live the most wasteful lifestyle on earth and the bottom third of the country is impoverished. unless youre a fake nationalist like napoleon, all i see is less being consumed and more to go around

Which plays exactly into what I said it would. I just didn't give you a chance to expound it word for word as you are now.

The fact that you try to attribute a macro level statistic like birthrate to a basic ass individual level insults on some "hurrr, incel" one liner shyt is EXACTLY what I describing in my first two posts. It only took 1 more reply than I predicted.

I can't even call this a lack of self awareness. nikkas is just corny

I'm still waiting for you to post a single HL thread where people pulled the gender card to shut down a legitimate argument.

I told you where to find it, even referenced a thread on the first page.

Hell you did it in this thread unironically, is it really worth mincing words with you?

Whose posts are you reading? No one did that shyt. :dahell:

I was making fun of YOUR response. I didn't try to attribute shyt to the macro level birthrate statistic.

I didn't do it in this thread, and it didn't happen in any other thread either. :mjlol:

You didn't offer up any argument, you were just bytching about how people were going to respond, so how could I have done it to you? :camby:

I just realized - you're nailing the Bad Faith Argument we talked about:

Coming to a thread with the attitude (stated or implied) that you will be attacked by the mean forum goers is toxic to productive discussion. It is also a pretty common trolling tactic, where the troll “predicts” that they will get shyt for daring to disagree with the community, proceeds to engage in several bad faith tactics, and then jumps in with “SEE, JUST LIKE I PREDICTED!” when they are called out by the community and/or banned. They use this to justify their original position on the community, and will sometimes point to the thread as “evidence” while commiserating with their buddies about how horribly they were treated.

You hit it on every level :dead::dead::dead:

Because any attempt to will be immediately gender polarized and morphed into a one sided "WELL IF MEN WERENT SUCH DIRTBAGS" diatribe.
You're about 2 posts away from proving me right to the letter
The point of my post is that discussions will never go anywhere once they gender polarize and whittle down to accusations of misogyny or impotency. (Not in the literal sense)

The latter being the road we were going down if I bothered to engage you.

Comes in without even offering an argument, just predicting that he'll get shyt
Gets called out
Claims that getting called out justifies the initial bad faith entry

Your response literally references the birthrate trend, but ok.

How disingenuous does one have to be to try and twist up a 1 sentence post is beyond me

How? Stupidly, singlemindedly and with multiple made up implied assumptions.

Same way most HL posters do when they assume they're speaking to someone of a competing political stance

Why is a better question

Why should I get shyt for an argument I haven't even weighed in on? The "prediction" wasnt even about me because I didn't, and still haven't even discussed this at any length.

So for someone to come right in and immediately prove the dynamic correct fills me with nihilistic amusement and disappointment with the males in your life.

You realize it would be impossible to frame my post this way had you not came at me in the manner you did?

Like even if you just respectfully disagreed, I'd have been wrong af

But you just had to go about it like a hoe:yeshrug:

Absolutely all of that, I'd throw in that family is generally seen as less important to life than before, people are generally more self-seeking, want to "experience life" for themselves and not necessarily have kids in the way. It's amazing how many discussions you'll see about male/female relationships and kids won't even get brought up.

I would prefer a society where people valued family more instead of sex/career/travel/parties and most of all "flexibility/independence", but I don't see how it's going to happen any time soon. Good thing is that there's no shortage of people out there. Just hope that the right people get the right values before any sort of ugly population crash. No offense, but I don't want my girls growing up in a world where 80% of the planet is Asians and half the rest are hardcore fundamentalist no-birth-control type white people.
