but, for the sake of argument, lets say that this goes through. what does it mean?

typically you get a TM so other people cant use and profit off your shyt. does this allow anyone to use the name or...and/or logo and its likeness or what?

Yeah, from reading the article and some of the comments from the more enlighten readers this ruling sort of contradicts how the trademark office operates, we'll see. Still this had to happen.
