My hometown of Detroit is top 20 though. That’s probably due to all of the abandoned lots and houses.

Going to make a separate thread for what you saw but funny enough a lot of the concrete east coast cities beat out many southern cities

The Bronx gets shytted on a lot but it might have the most impressive park system out of any borough

Nobody wants to walk in the desert. I see those photos of parks in Arizona, Utah & New Mexico, no shade. I mean I am dissing them cuz they have no trees to provide shade, just dirt and cactuses

Why do they separate out Alexandria from DC? It's a suburb. About to the same size as Chicago's Naperville. It's odd being included with these other cities.

Anyway, Chicago has some great parks. I would've thought NYC would be higher on the list.

The deserts of Arizona, SoCal, Nevada are “low desert”. Low altitude. Hot as fukk most of the time. Like walking in an oven.

Places like Albuquerque NM, El Paso West/Texas, Western Colorado are “high desert”. High altitude. They can get very cold at night. During the winter, it even snows.

I hate the humidity, so I love the desert. The desert is beautiful, but I get your point.

No matter where I lived here in DC, a park of some sort is always just a 5 minute walk away.

It's a damn good feeling to walk down the street for a free summer concert series. Only issue is deer crossing the road and aggressive turkeys around my way. My cousins from down south would go bow hunting for them damn turkeys at night.

As for deer you'll also see them posted up on the tennis and basketball courts at night and early morning.

That’s a fact. I lived by myrtle Edwards park for a couple of months when I was out there before I moved to west Seattle. The view was gorgeous
