@Perfectson we "let citizens get tortured in North Korea"?

Even Trump didn't "let" that happen and worked to free that Otto clown.

No one said "Oh he's in North Korea I guess he can be tortured there"

Breh, he was tortured for many months . This guy is a Saudi citizen and his under Saudi jurisdiction, what part of that don't you get?

Rhetorical question ...its obvious you don't get any of it

He's been locked up since 2017,but the State department seems to disagree with your take.

In a statement on Sunday, a Department of State spokesperson said that allegations of the mistreatment of Dr. Walid Fitaihi are being taken "extremely seriously."

"We can confirm that U.S. citizen Walid Fitaihi is detained in Saudi Arabia, we are providing him consular services, and we have raised his case with the Government of Saudi Arabia," the statement reads. “The U.S. Department of State and our embassies and consulates abroad have no greater responsibility than the protection of U.S. citizens overseas."
Maybe Trump will follow the advice of his Consulate. :skip:

@Perfectson finding out that his background in "jurisprudence" might not be as applicable to international politics who woulda thunk

gat damn you're a fukking moron. What expertise in this do you have? None, why are you still talking to me other than to be an insignificant troll that you are?

and you as well. someone already posted the LAW

of course the consulate is going to issue a statement, i specfically stated this!!!
You guys are making little to no sense.

And outside of that we have no reason for any other intervention, a strong note , finger wag, and shame them like true liberals do.

that's all this is, they have not jurisdiction and Saudi doesn't have to abide by anything they say. if this didn't get any media nothing would be done, you think he's been sitting there for 2 years and the consulate just made a statement because of the media backlash. They'll probably make some deal to save face on both sides...but they have no jurisdiction at all, period. You can post all these anecdotes are your stupid subjective lil thoughts, show me law. Fukkin eediats.

I just need @Maschine_Man to point out he's prob only getting waterboarded anyway and that doesn't really count
First off, I don’t agree with anyone being tortured....no matter what country they came from.

Secondly, it doesnt matter if he is (also) a US citizen because Saudi’s Arabia doesn’t recognize dual citizenship. So it’s hard for the US to actually do anything in this matter. My whole post that was copied from the governement page just explains how the US government has very limited options when it comes to dual citizens.

But, I forgot, y’all seem to know everything, soooooo....I guess we can go back to just pointing fingers and talking bullshyt.

She overstayed her visa and isn't being tortured. You're such a try hard that you clearly don't even understand what's being discussed.

You didn't read the story , she didnt simply overstay her visa.

Did you read the part about the dual citizenship regarding her daughter and how it doesn't matter because saudi Law takes precedence

Again didn't read the story .yet still commented nothing knowing wtf you're talking about

Typical James

I read the entire story.

She isn't being tortured as a political prisoner being held without charges.

Again, you're missing the point. Americans get locked up abroad every day.

It usually isn't a big deal unless it for bogus charges or they are being torutued. Both of which are happening in OP.

Neither of which are happening in Thomas's thread.

Try again.
