However, Trump has a lot of white Christian nationalists in his circle and they despise Muslims. I don’t think it would take much for Trump to completely flip on this reluctance to back Israel, especially if Islamic extremism via Hamas/The Houthis contributed to a loss of American interest.
I also don’t put it past Israel to let this happen if it meant restoring the United States commitment to Zionism.
